Please reach us at beerfest@woodbridgerugby.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The beer festival is an event that is being hosted by the Woodbridge Rugby Club. There will be well over 35 real ales and Ciders on offer from Breweries across East Anglia and beyond.
The club are keen to invite the community to Hatchely Barn, which is a great location and just on the outskirts of Woodbridge and we are very excited to return for June 2024.
We are members of the rugby club committee and dedicated volunteers. We are passionate about the club, passionate about beer and passionate about bringing a community together, hence the beer festival. We're also keen to show the community what the rugby club has to offer too. This will be a good time to remind visitors that not abuse or rude behavior will be tolerated at the festival.
Yes of course there are, please email us at beerfest@woodbridgerugby.netfor more details
Real Ale – There will a great selection of beer but not all will be available at the same time. We plan to have around 30 lines but as beer is consumed they will be replaced on the stillage.
We do plan to list all the beers with notes when once we have confirmation and there will be a festival guide upon arrival so that you can make notes and choose your favourite.
Cider – We do plan of course to offer cider, from the region to – again, keep referring to the website for what will be on offer.
Please note that within the festival guide you will be advised which ones are gluten free and vegan
Yes of course, we know that the not all will want beer, or you may wish to have a change of something in between beers. Soft drinks and wine will be available and we hope to have a Gin & Rum bar too.
No beer festival can take place without food to keep everyone going. We have invited food vendors to come along. There will be chefs from the club who will be offering some mouth watering food. We also have invited a food truck to provide a selection of foods along with Tea & Coffee. We hope there will be something for everyone.
We can't stop you from bringing your own food, as we would like to encourage you to support the vendors that we have booked for the event, however, we do understand that for many of you this is preferable. Please use the bins provided for any containers or wrappers. Picnics are allowed, as we have plenty of space, please be considerate to others though who have not brought their own food.
Tickets are available to buy on line via Eventbrite very soon, please keep checking back. There will be early bird tickets, a limited number, followed by a standard release of advanced tickets. There will be limited number on the door so do book in advance.
Children under 18 will be free entry.
We have kept the ticket prices simple but also standard price that is expected of a beer festival. You will be given a commemorative festival glass and 2 tokens to the value of 1 pint included in the ticket price.
Please see our ticket page for prices.
No, we are not associated with CAMRA and this event is open to all. The more the merrier.
Well behaved children are of course welcome! This event has grown organically to be more family friendly. New for 2024 there will be more activities for families to enjoy. Please come back to our website for more updates and follow us on our social media. However, this is a beer festival, please be sensible about when to take children home.
We must stress that the club/venue will not take responsibility should anything happen to your child. This is first and foremost a beer festival, however, we do want to make your children feel welcome, make new friends and perhaps get into the game of rugby.
Naughty children could be asked to do the washing up and clearing up rubbish! 😊
Yes please! We are looking for volunteers to take part. You could be doing anything from pulling pints, to clearing glasses, keeping the place tidy but being part of the festival will be part of the fun. If you are interested in helping out, please email beerfest@woodbridgerugby.net
We will be operating a token system for beer and cider. 1 token for ½ pint, 2 tokens for 1 pint. Gin and Rum will be 6 tokens for single measures. We will be able to use contactless to purchase tokens. You will not be able to pay for beer. The club bar will take both cash and card for other beverages and snacks.
We respectfully ask that you don’t on this occasion, festival glassware will be available.
No, this is yours to keep so after the festival you will be reminded of what a great time you had and be the beginning of a wonderful collection of festival glasses.
There will be various water points throughout the festival situated at the front of the bars for you to clean your glass and have a drink of water. If you’re not sure where your nearest water point is then please ask at a bar.
Yes, there is. There are ramps suitable for wheelchairs and we do have toilet facilities too.
The club has always welcomed well behaved dogs, please note that you MUST clear up their mess and place the waste in suitable bins.
Please also avoid the main rugby pitches as they are being treated so they are "pitch" perfect for the new season. The site is big enough to be able to round the perimeter of the site.
Please check your spam folder. If nothing is there please contact Eventbrite who with your details.
